Prescription lenses
Lucyd Armor with your prescription: which variant fits?
The official route and every seller we could verify, cheapest first. Prices in US dollars, checked 2026-10-26.

The short answer
As of 26 Oct 2026 · Last checked 2026-10-26 · Lucyd isn't a SpecsMap affiliate; links below are plain links to lucyd.co.
| Variant | Official Rx range | Safety (plano) | Frame |
|---|---|---|---|
| Armor Vantage | Any prescription (lab verifies above -10)[1] | Z87 basic impact | $149[7] |
| Armor base | SPH -2 to +8[1] | Z87+ high impact | $149[5] |
| Armor Slim | SPH -2 to +6[1] | Z87+ high impact | $149[6] |
Two caveats. The lucyd.co Armor product description still says "SPH between -3 and +8"; the help pages and the visible store copy say -2, which is what we show[5]. And prescription-glazed Armor has no impact rating yet: Lucyd says Z87-2 prescription qualification is still in progress[1].
Lucyd's own lab cuts the lenses and ships the glasses with them fitted, in up to 10 business days[3]. Custom lenses are non-refundable[3]. Lucyd publishes no cylinder (astigmatism) limit.

Official route
- Published range
- Armor base SPH −2 to +8; Armor Slim SPH −2 to +6; Armor Vantage any prescription (lab verifies above −10)[1]
- How to order
- Add prescription lenses at checkout on lucyd.co ("Add Rx Lenses", or "Select Lenses" on Armor): choose single vision, progressive, bifocal or reader, then enter SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD and PD. Lucyd's in-house lab cuts the lenses; they ship in up to 10 business days. Custom lenses are non-refundable.[3]

Good to know
- Range conflict: Lucyd's help pages and the visible lucyd.co Armor page say SPH -2 to +8, but the store's product description text still says "SPH between -3 and +8". We use the narrower -2 figure (checked 26 Oct 2026).[5]
- Vantage wording differs by page: "Full range (lab verifies above -10)" (Rx table), "Any prescription (lab verifies above -10)" (Armor page), but "Any prescription (nothing above -10 SPH; lab verifies)" on the older Vantage page (reviewed 26 May 2026). Above -10, expect Lucyd's lab to check your Rx first.[2]
- Safety: Armor base and Slim are ANSI Z87+ high impact; Vantage is "Z87" basic impact only. These apply to plano lenses: Z87-2 prescription qualification is still in progress, so Rx-glazed Armor carries no impact rating yet.[1]
- Vantage ships in stock only with photochromic lenses; custom lenses are ordered from lucyd.co.[2]
- Armor custom lenses cost about $25 more than equivalent Lyte custom lenses because of the high-curvature frame.[1]
- Custom lenses are non-refundable "in all cases"; Lucyd remakes them free if it made the error (wrong lens, transit damage, defect). Lucyd won't cut lenses without your PD.[3]
- Timing: up to 10 business days. Single vision usually ships in about 5 days; progressives and Lucyd Shift/Blueshift usually take the full 10; high-index or very high power can take longer.[3]
- FSA/HSA: Lucyd says "a Lucyd frame with prescription lenses qualifies as an FSA/HSA-eligible purchase" (Lucyd's wording; check with your plan).[4]
- Lucyd publishes no cylinder (astigmatism) limit and doesn't say whether ranges are sphere-only or total power. It asks for CYL and AXIS at checkout.[3]
